***Who is He???

N.E.P.H.E.W. Its not just a name, its a philosophy, an outlook, an approach, a way of life. The 24-year-old Chicago rapper describes his music as hip-hop slash world, but don't expect to hear any tribal chanting or Brazilian drum work from Nephew. Instead, prepare to take a journey into the mindstate of Chicago's best-kept secret.

Neph-ology is 13 tracks of lyrical firepower and rhymes as hard as Chicago steel. Combining head-knocking beats with words that poke, provoke, and evoke. Within months accolades (and orders) poured in from around the globe, and Nephew built a substantial online following in Canada, Korea, Germany, Poland, and the United States solidifying the beginning of N.E.P.H.E.W'S Musical Impact.

Featured Artist of the Week 4/4/2010 Presents: Lyriqs Da Lyriciss

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you this week's featured artist of the week, Alfred "Lyriqs Da Lyriciss" Banks! Lyriqs is a New Orleans' native who is full of energy, hunger & passion. Below you will find out more about who he is, his music and a glimpse into his performances. 

***Who is He???

Alfred “Lyriqs Da Lyriciss” Banks was born July 17, 1991 in New Orleans, Louisiana. At the tender age of 6, he began rapping, however, once he heard LupeFiasco`s Food and Liquor at the age of 14, he realized his career would be in music. While attending Helen Cox High School, he met a teacher by the name of Baakir. Baakir saw something special in Lyriqs and told his friend, Truth Universal, Grassroots Host & Coordinator, all about him. Upon meeting Truth Universal, he was given the opportunity to perform at Grassroots, an underground Hip Hop show. Lyriqs’ energetic performance was a hit with his fellow emcees. Since then, Lyriqs has used every chance he has to perfect his craft. With the instruments he’s been given, Lyriqs strives to create some of the best music the industry has ever heard. Now at the age of 18, he continues working hard towards his goal of one day being a household name. He released the mixtape "Bluology" in September 2009 to good reviews depite the recording taking place in his closet. Through every experience and door opening, Lyriqs is determined to be heard by the world.

She is a Houston, TX native looking to make a name for herself on the R&B scene. ***Who is She?

Texas is a state known for producing everything in an abundant and audacious "Texas-sized" style, and Coline Creuzot, the Houston native, is no exception. Coline is a forthcoming singer and songwriter who has collaborated with the music industry's heavyweights by creating her own musical pathway, and is leaving a heavy imprint within the soil of the music scene. Since a very young age, Coline has been alluring her audiences with her powerhouse voice that has resonated over time. Coline's music, which is organically written and co-written by herself, is a blend of R&B, Soul, and today's Pop, and her inspiration derives from artists such as Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway, Aaliyah, Brandy, Tamia, Beyonce, and Ne-Yo. The harmony between her music and inspirations consummates every lyric and melody that is born out of her personal experiences and life learned lessons. Coline focuses on cultivating herself as a musical artist who has catapulted from her opportunities that encompass the success of her recent tours and mix-tapes through the doors success. Coline has toured with Solange Knowles as her as a back-up singer and dancer doing spot dates, and recently appeared in Solange Knowles' video "I Decided". Her first mix-tape, "Head Turner," is hosted and by Paul Wall, and the second mix-tape, Diamond in the Rough," includes features from Slim Thug, Paul Wall, DJ Khaled, DJ Drama, Solange Knowles, Chamillionaire, in addition to other various artists.

In addition to touring and recording, Coline has opened shows for hit makers including T-Pain, Drake, Paul Wall, Sammie, J.Holiday, David Banner, Bun B, T.I, and Carl Thomas. She has been recently featured in the print and online publications of Houston Press, Conreteloop.com, ClutchMagazine.com, Singersroom.com, HoneyMag.com, Allhiphop.com, in addition to a list of radio shows including SiriusXM Shade 45 with Angela Yee. Coline Creuzot has delved knee-high into the work pertaining to her first solo project, and it features appearances from some of Houston and California's finest, including Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and the West Coast Hip-Hop veteran, E-40. With Coline's association to Swisha House Records, she has been creating big waves over Houston radio stations, and is ready to take the world by storm with her latest single "Give & Take". As a firm believer that big things come in small packages, Coline has indubitable faith that her Texan sized voice, style, and soul is a musical gift to all who listen.

***Who is He? 

Frankie Dennis better known as Mizery Da Beast is an exceptional talent with a skill like non-other. The lyrical genius began his artistry in middle school determined to make his mark early by battling and focusing on the craft that would one day make him known throughout his city, New Orleans. In 2006 Mizery hooked up with Gary Netter owner and CEO of Next Records and was soon signed in 2007 to the up and coming label where he worked alongside Tech 9 of the world famous group UNLV. One year later and two mix tapes down the line Mizery decided to leave Next Records, with the help of local producer No Fear who noticed his lyrical capability. Doors began to open and artist like Baby Boy The Prince (Universal Recording Artist) and many others began to take notice to Da lyrical Beast. Mizzery Da Beast  currently has a mix tape titled Introduction of Unleashed hosted by Dj Underground available on www.Datpiff.com. Future projects include I am Da Beast Vol 1 and his long awaited single Dance Flow feat. G Warner which is available.

They have labeled themselves The Freshman of the New Class of Hip Hop. The tour looks to take the state of Louisiana by storm and then branch out to other areas such as Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas & Alabama.
